Biggie Billboards is rethinking advertisement by empowering people to transform their vehicles into personal billboards. I joined the team to help develop the brand platform, design strategy, visual identity system, and product design. I gathered a global team to help execute branding, product design and development.
Brand Strategy + Direction
Positioning for Biggie proved challenging. Direct to consumer, B to C, ubiquitous market segment... same product, vastly different motivations. What I discovered is that underneath it all there's a common theme amongst anyone who would become a Biggie Billboard customer: they are all motivated to express themselves.
Visual Identity System
With such a diverse target, it was essential to create a visual system with which anyone could identify while still being unique. Simple, bold typography, a minimal yet impactful color palette, and personable photography make up our design system with a tone and voice to match. Simple illustrations and iconography add character, an homage to sign painter aesthetic.
Ecommerce Site
I lead the UX and visual design process for the ecommerce site, from strategy, to wires, to final delivery of the Sketch files.
Customizer Experience
The customizer product is full of features and complex operations. As the lead on the project, I ran multiple workshops to develop a feature set, led the team through product ideation, developed wireframe prototypes, and finally full UI design.
